Conclusion
Overall, the exhibition was 10% larger than the last event held
in 1999. In terms of exhibits, there were improvement and the exhibition
saw 90% of return exhibitors and 10% of new exhibitors – testifying
to the credibility of the exhibition to deliver results to the exhibitors.
While the visitor count was lower than expected,
the quality was definitely much better – as reflected in the
visitor analysis and comments by the exhibitors who were happy despite
the lower-than-expected visitorship.
The exhibition received good support all around.,
From the government level, the Minister of Primary Industries himself
graciously officiated the Opening Ceremony of the exhibition and
his pleasure with the Woodtech Malaysia 2002 team which was conveyed
in his official speech, bespoke volumes.
The lead sponsor and supporting organisations expressed
delight at the exhibition. The Chairman and the senior council members
of the organisations were seen making rounds at the exhibition throughout
the exhibition.
The media support was also tremendous with TV3
covering the event and giving it almost 1 min 40 seconds of airtime
coverage.
All in all, the event was a success and paved the
way well for the Wootech Malaysia 2005.
